As many find themselves eager to see what hits the runways, and designer studios, for New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011. It’s always exciting to see the break out collections of freshman, and sophomore designer’s of the industry. I’m anticipating an electrifying runway show from the designers of Project Runway, such as Michael Costello.
As you may already be aware, there is a new location for New York’s Internationally covered Fashion Week. The Lincoln Center (located on the Upper West Side of NY), at 65 N Broadway New York NY, is a historical site. As President Dwight D. Eisenhower held the shovel for the ground breaking ceremony, in 1959. Although the Tents at Bryant Park has been a monumental site where Fashion, Art, and A-list Celebrities were able collide twice a year for over 16years . There is no doubt in my mind that the change in venue will exceed it’s attendees expectations.
